Teens and preteens are usually all about how they appear to their friends and colleagues.  The thought of clunky metal braces (“metal mouth”) can be terrifying.  Dr. Paul F. DiMattia & Associates offers an alternative to metal mouth with ClearCorrect aligners.

Made of premium crack- and stain-resistant polyurethane, ClearCorrect aligners are similar to other clear aligners.  ClearCorrect uses a series of removable, custom-made oral appliances that straighten teeth gradually, revealing a beautiful smile by the end of treatment.

ClearCorrect aligners are worn almost the entire day and night.  The aligners are only removed when eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.  Daily routines are not drastically changed, and the aligners are hardly noticed by others.

After the initial examination, the patient begins wearing the aligners in stages.  One set of aligners is worn for three weeks, and a short break is given, determined by Dr. DiMattia and the patient.  Treatment can be completed in one to two years but will depend on the amount of alignment needed.

Dr. DiMattia will schedule periodic check-ups to monitor the progress.  If no problems are detected, the next set of aligners will be started.  Movement of the teeth should be noticeable in a short period of time.
